I rode the electric buggy the hotel provided to reach the Taj Mahal entrance. My room on the third floor featured a terrace with a direct view of the monument. I swam in the heated pool while looking over the manicured gardens. Daily fresh mangoes and bananas arrived in my room throughout my stay.

I watched the Taj Mahal from the rooftop terrace. I enjoyed breakfast with freshly ground French press coffee and fresh fruit. I grabbed a snack and a soft drink from the room fridge, which the owners kept stocked throughout my stay. I ate dinner on the rooftop and chose from a variety of traditional dishes cooked with spices from the garden behind the building. My spacious room stayed super clean throughout my visit, and I cooled off in the clean swimming pool after returning from the heat of the city. Late station pickup by the hosts
